The last few weeks have been a wild ride of last gasps in each of the divisions.
In Legacy, a combination of Bo Nix Fan Club losing 5 in a row and GioForce rattling off wins in 4 of 5 games allowed for the first relegation spot still being up for grabs.
In Mettle, a 3-game win streak from Kyler’s Splendid Team launched him into a tie for the 8th seed.
In Bedrock, ATL Lemon Peppas and Joey’s Marvelous Team are doing their best to miss the playoffs, both riding losing streaks to fall to the 8th & 9th seeds as we move into the last week of the season.
Let’s look at a full breakdown by Division:
CLINCHED
Seven playoff spots are clinched, with seeding likely to change in the final week. Clinched teams as they stand today:
Jonathan Bahn
Zach Dye
RD Gallant
Michael Schultz
Joshuwa Shelton
Keaton Smith
Ryan Johnson
FIGHTING FOR PLAYOFFS
Alex DiCarrolo and Cody Morford are fighting for the final playoff spot in Legacy Division, with Alex holding a 92-point edge.
Alex secures 8th seed with a WIN + Cody LOSS, OR a WIN + scoring anything up to 91 points less than Cody, OR a LOSS + Cody LOSS + scoring anything up to 91 points less than Cody.
Cody secures 8th seed with a WIN + Alex LOSS, OR a WIN + scoring 92 more points than Alex, OR a LOSS + Alex LOSS + scoring 92 more points than Alex.
FIGHTING TO AVOID RELEGATION
This is hardly worth mentioning because the likelihood is zero. However, in the most outlandish of circumstances…
Gio can move up to 9th with a WIN + Cody LOSS + scoring 126 more points than Cody.
Keuris can move up to 9th with a WIN + Cody LOSS + scoring 137 more points than Cody.
(Both can also technically make the playoffs with a win + Alex & Cody lose + scoring about 230 points more than Alex.)
Enjoy Mettle Division, you two.
CLINCHED
Only four playoff spots are clinched, with seeding likely to change in the final week. Clinched teams as they stand today:
Alex Chang
Jordan Williams
Julio Hernandez
Ryan Tidwell
Outside of those four, the next four teams all sit at 7-6. However, three of those are essentially clinched because of their point totals, and we’ll consider them honorary-clinchees:
Ben Musselman +201 over 9th seed
Jimmy Bunch +115 over 9th seed
Nathan Clute +51 over 9th seed
FIGHTING FOR PLAYOFFS
Ian Svendsen secures a playoff spot with a WIN, OR with a LOSS but maintaining a Points For edge over Kyler (currently a 45 point gap).
Kyler secures a playoff spot with a WIN + Ian LOSS + outscoring Ian by 45 points.
FIGHTING TO AVOID RELEGATION
Sy secures avoiding relegation with a WIN + Kyler’s Splendid Team LOSS, OR with both teams losing but Sy scoring 45 more points than Kyler.
I’m getting relegated for sure.
MOVING TO BEDROCK
Let’s be Nabers & Bryce Bryce Baby will both be moving down to Bedrock next season as the last two seeds in Mettle.
CLINCHED
Again, only four playoff spots are clinched, with seeding likely to change in the final week. Clinched teams as they stand today:
Jordan Putt
Justin Watson
Jayson Rhea
Stevie Collins
Outside of those four, Cambell Wurl sits at 7-6. He hasn’t technically clinched, but it would take an absurd set of circumstances for Campbell to miss the playoffs entirely, even with an abysmal loss. Therefore, we’ll consider them an honorary-clinchee:
Campbell Wurl +110 over 9th seed
FIGHTING FOR PLAYOFFS
If Joey Eugene loses in Week 14, Joe Acosta, Daniel Monnier and Jason Meredith will automatically advance to the playoffs. Similarly, if any of those teams win, they will automatically advance to the playoffs. If Joey wins and any of the others lose, Joey will leap them in the standings.
FIGHTING TO AVOID GETTING KICKED
Daniel Burke avoids relegation with a WIN + Joey LOSS + maintaining their Points For edge. Anything less, and Danny Dimes is on the chopping block.
RISK BEING KICKED FROM THE LEAGUE
Chad Holcombe & Matt Dalley are both on the chopping block following their disastrous seasons due to their failure to set lineups week to week. One may wonder rf they still remember their log-in info.
